At Seminole High School, Air Force JROTC is more than a course sequence — it is an opportunity for students to develop leadership, discipline, teamwork, and confidence while exploring the exciting world of aerospace science and aviation. Through hands-on learning, military customs and courtesies, physical wellness, citizenship, and aerospace education, cadets build skills that prepare them for success in college, careers, and life. AFJROTC doesn't require any military obligation, the program develops "Citizens of Character" using a military structure.

Students in the Aerospace Science program gain knowledge in aviation history, space exploration, flight principles, leadership development, communication, and community service while participating in a structured and supportive environment. Whether students are interested in aviation, engineering, military service, public service, or leadership opportunities, Air Force JROTC provides meaningful experiences that help students grow academically and personally.

In addition to classroom instruction, cadets have the opportunity to participate in a variety of competitive and leadership-based extracurricular activities including Raiders, Marksmanship, Color Guard, Rocketry, CyberPatriot, and StellarXplorers. These activities allow students to strengthen teamwork, problem-solving, physical fitness, cybersecurity skills, precision, and aerospace knowledge while representing Seminole High School in local, state, and national competitions.

From first-year cadets learning the foundations of aerospace science to upperclassmen leading corps activities and mentoring younger students, Seminole’s Air Force JROTC program empowers students to lead with integrity, responsibility, and pride. The Air Force JROTC program is designed to prepare students for future success by developing confident leaders, responsible citizens, and career-ready graduates equipped with the skills needed for college, military service, aviation careers, and today’s evolving workforce.
