Digital Design

Our Digital Design program is more than just learning how to use software — it is a hands-on, creative pathway where students develop artistic talent, technical skills, and real-world experience in the ever-growing world of digital media and design. Throughout all four levels of the program, students explore illustration, graphic design, branding, advertising, multimedia production, and visual storytelling while working with industry-standard Adobe Creative Suite applications used by professionals around the world.

Illustration and creative design are major components of the pathway, allowing students to bring ideas to life through digital artwork, logo creation, typography, photo manipulation, layout design, and multimedia projects. Students learn how design impacts communication, marketing, entertainment, and business while building a strong foundation in artistic principles and digital production techniques.

Beginning in Digital Design 1, students are introduced to the fundamentals of design, digital imaging, and visual communication. As they progress through Digital Design 2, 3, and 4, students take on increasingly advanced projects that mirror real-world creative industries.

Coursework includes collaborative projects, portfolio development, branding campaigns, promotional materials, and client-style assignments that help students gain authentic experience and professional confidence.

The program emphasizes creativity, problem-solving, collaboration, and project-based learning, giving students opportunities to work on designs that have purpose beyond the classroom. By the time students complete the pathway, they have developed both technical proficiency and a professional portfolio that can support future opportunities in graphic design, illustration, advertising, digital marketing, animation, photography, web design, and other creative career fields.

At Seminole, Digital Design students are not just learning design software — they are learning how to think creatively, communicate visually, and create work that reflects the expectations of today’s professional digital media industry.
