Health Academy Sophomore learn about PPE

Some of our Seminole High School Health Academy sophomores recently got a hands-on look at an important part of working in health care: Personal Protective Equipment, or PPE.
In their Health Science Foundations class, students had the opportunity to try on PPE for the first time and learn why equipment such as gloves, gowns, masks and other protective gear is so important. PPE helps protect health care workers and patients while reducing the risk of exposure to infectious materials.
What makes this experience even more exciting? These students are only sophomores, and they are already gaining real-world knowledge and hands-on experiences that connect directly to the health care careers they may pursue in the future.
Learning by doing. Building skills. Exploring careers.
That’s #WhySeminole.
