Bright Futures - The application for Bright Futures is also the application for Florida Students Scholarship & Grant Programs. This application should be completed after October 1, 2019. Students do not have to have all requirements completed prior to applying. Once applications are submitted student information is reviewed periodically by the state to determine eligibility.
As of right now, the deadline for turning in Community Service hours and documentation for Bright Futures is still May 1st. If you need to turn your paperwork in, make sure you have all the required pieces together and email them to your school counselor. Counselors will not be on campus to receive your paperwork.
The three pieces you must include are: the approved service plan for each organization where you volunteered, the hours log(s), and a reflective essay. The hours log(s) should reflect the combined total required for whatever level of Bright Futures you are applying for. For instance, 30 hours for GSV or GCV, 75 hours for FMS, or 100 hours for FAS. Further information on Bright Futures specific questions can be found at https://www.floridastudentfinancialaidsg.org/ .

Once all documents have been verified and approved, they will then be added to your transcript. Please give 2-3 days for the addition to the transcript.
