Florida State Senator David Simmons would like to invite you the opportunity to participate in the Senate Page Program in Tallahassee.

About the Florida Senate Page Program

Be part of history! Each year, the Florida Senate welcomes young students from across the state to participate in the Senate Page Program. This program, which has been a part of the Senate tradition for more than 30 years, provides an excellent opportunity for young people to participate in the legislative process.

During legislative session (March 3, 2015- May 1, 2015), participating students come to Tallahassee for one week to assist members of the Legislature in carrying out the work of the people. During their assigned week, Senate Pages will assist the members of the Florida Senate by distributing materials and messages, learn about the legislative process, and experience a "mock session," in which students engage in debating, discussing, and voting on mock legislation.

IMPORTANT: Interested students must be 15 years old and not have reached their 19th birthday by the beginning of their scheduled week of service. Senate Pages will receive a $5.15 per hour stipend for their hours worked, which will be mailed to them within a few weeks after their service.  All applications must be received no later than January 2, 2015.  Assignment dates are made on a first-come first-serve basis. Each Senator may sponsor two Pages.

Click here for more information and to download the application.
