Welcome back! I am excited to be your new principal, and together, we will celebrate our successes while we confront our challenges. One of the first things I did when I was appointed to SHS was to review its Mission Statement. This is a powerful message that directly aligns with my educational philosophy. Cultivating potential and achieving academic excellence is the heart of this mission, but what stood out to me were the words "every student." That is our mission, to take the potential of every student that walks through our doors and have them graduate four years later with a bright future in front of them. And to do this we must "embrace the full richness and diversity of our community." SHS is the Sanford community, and the Sanford community is SHS. We are one, we are not separate, and as one we will reach excellence. No one said this will be easy, no one said we won't struggle. But we will try. That brings me to my goals: School Safety, Academic Excellence, and a Healthy School Culture. These three major goals are universal and the keys to our success. As we begin a new school year, I ask you to embrace the Seminole High School Mission and the goals I have outlined. I will need your help, and I am confident you will give it. Seminole High School has an amazing history of success, and l am confident that we will continue this tradition together.
