Curriculum

Courses listed below are subject to change.  Please consult the current Seminole High School Curriculum Guide for the list of courses currently offered at Seminole High School.

 

Curriculum

Language A1: English language, including the study of selections from world literature.

Language B: Second modern language, Spanish or French.

Individuals and Societies: History of the Americas and the world.

Experimental Sciences: Biology, Chemistry, Physics.

Mathematics: Mathematics Higher Level (HL), Mathematical Studies, Mathematical Methods.

The Arts and Electives: Music, Psychology, Economics or a second science.

Theory of Knowledge: A required interdisciplinary course, designed to stimulate critical thinking and reflection upon the knowledge gained both inside and outside the classroom.

Extended Essay: An independent 4,000-word essay on a research subject of the student's choice.

Creativity, Action and Service (CAS): 150 hours of school and community service.
