Language A1: English language, including the study
of selections from world literature.
Language B: Second modern language, Spanish or
French.
Individuals and Societies: History of the Americas
and the world.
Experimental Sciences: Biology, Chemistry, Physics.
Mathematics: Mathematics Higher Level (HL), Mathematical
Studies, Mathematical Methods.
The Arts and Electives: Music, Psychology, Economics
or a second science.
Theory of Knowledge: A required interdisciplinary
course, designed to stimulate critical thinking and reflection upon
the knowledge gained both inside and outside the classroom.
Extended Essay: An independent 4,000-word essay
on a research subject of the student's choice.
Creativity, Action and Service (CAS): 150 hours
of school and community service.
